Heres some information on how you can prepare your swing axle beetle for various kinds of motorsport competition or simply improve the handling and prevent dangerous positive camber...
Improving the handling of your bug - the basic steps....
1. Suspension lowered roughly 2" all round.
2. Stiffer shocks front and rear, preferably KYB gas or Cofap gas.
3. Front anti roll bar.
4. Rear Z Bar / camber compensator.
5. Smaller than stock steering wheel.
6. Replace all consumable steering components where necessary, using replacement poly bushes with tighten up the feel if you want to use them.
7. Good tyres are also important. With a stock or near to engine you don't need tyres any bigger than 165's you transmit the power you've got.
It is particularly important to have a Z bar, camber compensator or both installed onto your rear axle as otherwise the rear end is free to under positive camber under hard braking and cornering which puts the car at risk of rolling over! The Z bar and compensator help to restrict the downs movement of the swing axle to prevent this.

And an interesting discussion about handling although it gets a little out of hand at the end!
